ABOUT ME
My name is Angelo Sandoval, and I am proud to have dedicated 21 years to teaching.
I chose this profession to make a positive impact on the youth of Stockton, California, and throughout my career, I have remained committed to that mission. As my teaching journey progressed, I developed a passion for supporting fellow educators.
Experience
My experience includes serving as an AVID Staff Developer, where I trained teachers across the United States and internationally. At Edison High School, I led site-wide professional development initiatives and mentored new teachers, equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in diverse classroom settings. These experiences have shaped my ability to train and coach educators working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
I have been honored with several accolades, including being named Teacher of the Year at Edison High School and induction into the Edison Hall of Fame for my contributions to education. I am also a James Madison Fellow. However, my greatest professional achievement is the privilege of mentoring former students who have joined me in the teaching profession as colleagues.
